World of Palace on Wheels
The Palace on Wheels, launched in 1982, is considered India’s first luxury heritage train.The Palace on Wheels is a joint Initiative between Rajasthan Tourism Development Corporation and Indian Railways. Apart from that, the concept of the Palace on Wheels train was taken from the royal background of the coaches. The coaches were originally designed to be the personal coaches of the rulers of the states of Rajputana, including Baroda and Nizam. The Palace on Wheels offers a complete luxury experience with opulent cabins, dining areas, and outstanding hospitality and service.

- GST as applicable shall be charged extra.
- 10% additional shall be charged on the trips having Christmas and New Year.
- Children up to the age of 5 years will be complimentary; however, it will be in the same cabin.
- Tariff will be charged for children aged above 5 years but less than 12 years @50% provided they are sharing the accommodation with an adult.
- One cabin has occupancy of 2 adult Pax only; an additional mattress can be provided for infants or children below 12 years based on policy.
- The Tariff in Indian currency is fixed for guests having valid Indian nationality proof, i.e., a valid Indian passport or OCI card (valid proof must be submitted at the time of booking; in case of any variance, the USD rate will apply).
- The operator, under information to RTDC, reserves the right to revise the tariff at any time without prior notice.
